This information is provided for reference only - the deadline has now passed for proposal submission. Proposals are no longer being accepted for Evaluation 2010.

The American Evaluation Association welcomes proposals focusing on any aspect of evaluation for its conference to be held Wednesday, November 10, through Saturday, November 13, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas, USA. 

Please note that all proposals must be submitted via the Internet using AEA's online forms. We strongly recommend that you read through the entire submission process, and review and print out the submission forms for reference, well in advance of the submission deadline.

Incomplete proposals will be returned to the proposer and will not be sent on for peer-review.

Step 1. Choose your session format: Read through the available session formats and identify the one best suited to sharing your work.

Step 2. Review the submission form: Read through and print out for your reference the online proposal submission form for your chosen type of session. Click on the appropriate session format below  [disabled - proposals are no longer being accepted] to go to its submission form.

3. Review the proposal submission Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page: Read through the proposal submission FAQ. Here you will find definitions, guidelines, and examples for major components on the submission form. 

In particular, please review the guidelines for the two-plus-two presentation per person limit.

4. Develop abstracts/descriptions: Write your abstract(s) and descriptions in a word processor, checking carefully for spelling and grammar errors. For accepted proposals, what you submit will be published as-is in our online conference program unless it must be truncated to the appropriate length. 

Special note for panel submissions: Panel submissions should include a unique description for each presenter - as well as the overall abstract. Individual presenter information may either be a traditional abstract or a description of what that person contributes to the panel in terms of knowledge and expertise.

5. Complete the submission form: Click on the appropriate session type below to go to its online submission form [disabled - proposals are no longer being accepted]. Fill out each required item and cut-and-paste your abstracts/descriptions from your word processor into the appropriate boxes. Review your submission and click the SUBMIT button.

Once you have submitted your form, you will immediately receive a confirmation page with all of the information that you submitted. Please save the confirmation page for your records. Within three working days you will receive a second confirmation via email noting that your submission has been received at the AEA office.

It is your responsibility to follow-up if you do not receive either the confirmation page or the confirmation email.
