STATEMENT ON CULTURAL COMPETENCE IN EVALUATION

Focusing on the role, importance, and essential practices for cultural competence in evaluation, the Cultural Competence in Evaluation statement was approved by the AEA membership in April of 2011 and is available in three online formats:

As of the summer of 2011, an AEA working group is identifying avenues for dissemination and use of the statement. If you have ideas that you would like to share, please send them to info@eval.org and the AEA staff will ensure that they are shared with the group.

Between 2005 and 2011, an AEA Cultural Competence in Evaluation Task Force worked to develop a statement focusing on cultural competence in evaluation. As part of their work, the task force collected and vetted resources related to cultural competence.
